Hon. Ismail Teslim Kunle Lauds New State Chairman, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Polls

Hon. Ismail Teslim Kunle, popularly know as Tescom, who is an aspirant for the Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has congratulated Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo on his emergence as the new Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, along with the full executive committee.

The peaceful selection occurred via consensus during the party's State Congress held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Oke-Ado, Ibadan. The new executives, including Adeyemo, were formally sworn in shortly afterward at the party's state secretariat.
In his message, Hon. Teslim described the outcome as a powerful demonstration of unity, political maturity, and shared commitment among Oyo APC members and leaders. He highlighted how the consensus approach underscores the widespread trust in Chief Adeyemo's proven leadership credentials, drawing from his successful tenure as Deputy Governor of the state for two terms.
Hon. Teslim pointed out that by opting for harmony and a common purpose through consensus, the Oyo APC stands in contrast to several other parties currently grappling with factionalism and internal disputes.

Hon. Teslim urged the new Chairman to embrace his position as the primary mobilizer and guardian of the party's core values, with the ultimate goal of positioning the APC to regain dominance in Oyo State during the 2027 general elections. He also called on the entire executive team to play active roles in rebuilding and fortifying the party's grassroots network, coordination, and organizational strength to secure victories not only in 2027 but in subsequent contests.
Emphasizing the importance of the road ahead, Hon. Teslim stressed that success will demand unwavering dedication, openness in dealings, and genuine openness to feedback from all stakeholders. He encouraged the fresh leadership to continue the inclusive consultation process that made the smooth consensus possible.

This endorsement from Hon. Teslim Kunle, an aspirant from the Oke-Ogun axis (the same zone as Chief Adeyemo), reflects growing efforts to rally support and foster cohesion within the party.
