In a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage and linguistic pride, the National Association of Oke-Ogun Students (NAOOS), The Polytechnic Ibadan, successfully hosted the first edition of “Másòyìnbó L’Ókè-Ògùn”, a Yoruba language competition designed to showcase fluency, depth, and creativity in native expression. Held at Fb Block, beside admission office at North Campus of The Polytechnic Ibadan on Tuesday, 17th of June, 2025, The theme of the event focused on “Showcasing Yoruba Speaking Prowess,” in line with NAOOS’s unwavering commitment to cultural awareness and education. Participants engaged in a thrilling contest that featured Yoruba proverbs, translations, interpretations of word meanings, and live cultural demonstrations, putting their linguistic skills and heritage knowledge to the test.
